Canine Calm

We have tested with our own dogs and it works! What we like the most about Earth Heart's products is that we don't have to force our dog to take it in. We tried the Canine Calm on Nick, a 2 year-old Yorkshire Terrier who becomes nervous easily. A small dog, by nature, could be fearful and curious until he reaches the age of 3 and Nick is one of them. He is unsure about noises and a car ride. So he was a very good candidate. We sprayed his bed with a few mists of Canine Calm and also massaged the oil on his ears, chin and belly areas. In a busy office and lots of activities, Nick's ears always perked up and he was ready to bark at anything but with Canine Calm, the oil seemed to slow him down. Next mission was to apply Travel Calm on him. Everytime Nick had a car ride, it required a roll of paper towel or wet wipes and a plastic bag. He vomited and drooled a lot. His vet suggested a 1/4 teaspoon of Children Benadryl, and it did not work, in his case. We applied Travel Calm on him just like we did with Canine Calm then took off for a ride. He did not drool or vomit. All we experienced was heavy panting. So far we are impressed.

Himalayan Dog Chew

Have you Google your name when you get bored sometime? Ah... it sounds crazy but have to admit that we did and it's a good thing that we did!! Because we found that a very nice blog, Of Cows' Tail and Chew Toy, which mentioned us and one of the product at our store. Here is what they have to say about Himalayan Dog Chew.

I didn’t quite know what to do with it at first. I threw it around a bit and pounced on it, but after a nibble I realized it was quite tasty. Because of the hardness (similar to that of a nylabone), it took me over an hour just to eat 1/4 of it. My mom took it away from me at that point as she wanted to see if the chew would aggravate my tummy. There were no symptoms (loose or runny stool, gas, vomiting) of it upsetting my colitis, so I was cleared to not only finish the first treat, but to also start on the other two in the package! The chews left no stains and hardly any crumbs so it was couch approved too.

An easy way to keep your pet busy

If you have a cat, you probably don’t have much trouble unless you have a dog that is trapped in a cat body. I have 2 Yorkshire terriers that constantly need attention. They fight for a spot on my lap. They want the same piece of treat even though I give both of them the same treat.

If one is on the couch and the other is on the floor, the one on the couch will jump on the other which is on the floor then a war starts. I had been complaining about this and luckily I finally found the way to end all this. So if you have the same issue, here is how to keep your dog busy and occupied.

Many people talk about stuffing peanut butter in a Kong toy but do you know that if you freeze your stuffed Kong before giving it to your dog, it will take longer time for him or her to lick the peanut better out. Besides peanut butter, you can use mashed cooked pumpkin, mashed banana or apple sauce.

For me, my favorite trick is to stuff a piece of dog biscuit in a rubber chew-toy, like those in the image. It takes longer time for my dogs to get it out. I personally think that it is harder than getting peanut butter out of a Kong toy. If you do not have one already, you have no need to buy one. You can use the core of bathroom tissue and add a treat in side. Close both ends tight and now you got a recyclable treat toy! The core of bathroom tissue is good for tiny to medium dog. If you have a large dog, perhaps a core of paper towel will do the trick.
